Time for Change

We elected President Obama because we wanted change. Part of his platform involved Health Care change and Wall Street Reform.

We need to help those who are being abused by “Big Insurance” and the Financial World.

A Health Plan and a Wall Street Plan has been approved by a majority. In this country the majority rules.

We need to stop the "sour grapes" efforts from those who have lost the election, and lost the battles.

The majority has spoken, twice.

Health Care

We elected President Obama because we wanted change. Part of his platform involved Health Care change.

We need to help those who are being abused by “Big Insurance” and those who cannot afford proper health care.

A health plan has been approved by a majority, and in this country the majority rules.

We need to stop the "sour grapes" efforts from those who have lost the election, and lost the battle to stop this historic health care victory.

The majority has spoken, twice.

Earth Day Idea's

A day to get involved, the earth needs your help.

Things you could do at work or in your neighborhood to make a difference.

You could organize a special recycling project for unusual but hazardous items, electronics, cell phones, motor oil, and fluorescent lamps. Learn about places that will recycle these items.

If you like taking pictures of nature, you could have contest for a picture/pictures of the best reason to protect the Environment.

Organize a neighborhood cleanup and/or recycling effort.
You can also organize a tree planting project.

Have a picnic, with Environmental games, speakers; feature the best ideas/projects to help the planet.

Contest employees for the best ideas for turning waste into useful items. Like a plastic bottle into a pencil holder.

The value of one.

It is possible for one person to affect the destiny of another person, and it is also possible to create a movement in an entire population, a nation, and even the world. We have seen it thousands of times, and wondered, “What kind of person is capable of doing something like that?” In reality, most of the great leaders and innovators were just average people with extraordinary passion. They believed in what they were doing to the point that it totally determined their path to success. Almost always, they started out in a small way, one step at a time.
Here is the point. Most of us think about doing something great for a fleeting moment, then slide back into our soft comfortable chair. It's a common feeling that pushes us back. We think to ourselves, “Where would I start?” “How would I do it?” or think, “People might think I’m crazy,” or you might say, “That is too much work.” Then you give up on your dream and go back to living the same ordinary, unfulfilling life you had before…
You can be great starting right now with one easy, small step. Next time you go to the store pick up a couple of Compact Florescent Light Bulbs (CFL’s). Start with replacing your old incandescent lights with CFL's, just one light bulb at a time. You will be amazed how good it makes you feel, knowing that you did something positive for not only yourself or your family but for the world. You will feel so good, in fact, you might want to replace all of your light bulbs. Maybe it will inspire you to start recycling newspapers, bottles, plastics, and cans. WOW! Now you are really doing something terrific. It feels so wonderful you will just have to get your best friend to try it.
Here you are, forming a team, gathering your family, your friends, and their family and friends to take small steps to make a difference in their lives, which in turn is making a major difference in your life because you are starting to see the bigger picture of changing people’s lives and how one person can start to create a movement. Now you are on the verge of fulfilling a bigger dream of creating major changes in your community and the world. Your passion takes hold and will determine your path to greatness. Now, you are a hero…
